Here’s the deal. I am NO stylist. I am NOT a fashionista and I do not focus a lot on my style. I’d rather spend more time hanging out with those who I care and love about. However, I found something that has improved my fashion, without much of any extra effort. I somewhat call it my savior:
The personal styling service that shops for you and sends 5 items of clothing or accessories to your door, either monthly or on the date you choose. If you keep nothing, you send it all back in their prepaid envelope and they charge you a $20 styling fee. But if you keep at least one item, that fee goes toward the cost of your item.
My Fix Journey:
I received Stitch Fix as a gift.
I like to say it was one of the best gifts ever. The stylists have been great to work with- they really listen to my requests and even regularly check my Pinterest board for what I like to wear. And when I have to fluctuate in sizes, they are always gracious and never point and question me. Stitch Fix is also great because it taught me a few things about clothes. 1. Having someone else shop for you is super nice because it gives you a different sense of style- sometimes we all need this to get out of a rut. 2. If you don’t love it, you send it back. And it really is that easy.
If you refer your friends and they end up getting a fix of their own, you’ll earn credit to use toward your next fix. That’s the only way I can keep doing it. So thanks! They will ask you to fill out your own style profile with sizes and preferences and all of that. It is so fun waiting in anticipation each month to see what my stylist has decided to send me!

Stitch Fix Box #1
In my first box I received a Dress, Earrings, Cardigan, A-line skirt, and a Blouse. I kept 2 of the 5 items and was very happy with what I got. I did not take pictures of the items I did not keep; however I will do a better job of this in the future!
Dress: I LOVED this dress. It fit me and was a great new piece- timed perfectly for my sister’s engagement party (as pictured). The length was great and its style is perfect for almost any occasion (If you know me, you know I love versatile clothing!). The fit of this dress is very comfortable. After wearing it a few times, I wasn’t in love with the top. I felt it maybe showed a little too much; however, after going back through pictures I think its okay! Needless to say, Status: I definitely kept this item!
Earrings: I LOVED these earrings! They are definitely not something I would have picked up off the racks for myself; however, when put on they were not so dramatic. I felt they were a good “different” style for me. I’ve worn them a lot, which I guess is a good thing. They were $28; if it weren’t for the gift, I’m not sure I would have kept them. However, I am SO glad I did. Status: Keep.
Cardigan: I loved the fit of this cardigan. However, I have 5 grey cardigans so I rationalized with myself and decided I’d sent it back. I never realized how many grey cardigans I had until I tried on this item! Status: Sent Back.
A-line Skirt: it was very cute; but it wasn’t very versatile. I also had a hard time envisioning myself wearing it except for with the 1 blouse they sent me. So I was sad to send it back. It also didn’t fit perfect so I would have probably at minimum exchanged it for a different size if I would have kept it. Status: Sadly sent back.
Blouse: the fit was great but it had some weird design that you could see through to my skin which I didn’t like so I decided to send it back. If I am not in aw or wowed it probably will not get worn. Status: Sent back.
